Barry Kissin 9/11 facts,  Originally published October 02, 2010 I have decided to focus on the implications of one simple fact pertinent to 9/11 in order to demonstrate that it takes only one simple fact to reveal a monumental lie. Fact: There was molten metal where WTC-1, 2 and 7 stood for weeks after 9/11.

On Oct. 10, 2001, four weeks after 9/11, Joe Allbaugh, the director of Federal Emergency Management Agency, was interviewed by Bryant Gumbel of CBS News:

GUMBEL: ... Why do we have these hot spots? What's going on?

ALLBAUGH: ... It's just too hot for rescuers to get into those areas. So we do not know yet what's in those areas, other than very hot, molten material.

Leslie Robertson, a structural engineer who helped design the Twin Towers: "As of 21 days after the attack, the fires were still burning and molten steel was still running."

Joe O'Toole, a Bronx firefighter who worked for many months on cleanup efforts, remembers in February 2002 (five months after 9/11) seeing a crane lift a steel beam vertically from deep within the catacombs of ground zero: "It was dripping from the molten steel."

There is much additional testimonial as well as video evidence of the substantial presence of molten metal accessible online at the URL cited below.

Additional fact: Structural steel does not melt at less than 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit.

To be clear, this means that for weeks after 9/11, temperatures in excess of 2,600 degrees persisted in the rubble at ground zero.

Additional facts: The fires caused by the airplanes striking the buildings probably reached 1,500 degrees, maximum 1,800 degrees, due to burning airplane fuel. This temperature could not have been sustained for more than 10 minutes because of the fuel burning off, after which the temperatures dropped to maximum 500 degrees, the temperature of burning office carpet, furnishings, paper, etc.

Inescapable conclusion: The fires caused by the crashing airplanes cannot possibly account for the phenomenon of molten metal at the site for weeks after 9/11.

Additional facts: The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 2001 guide for fire and explosion investigations (NFPA 921-19.2.4) states that molten steel could indicate the use of exotic accelerants, specifically thermite. Thermitic material (whose burning temperature is 4,500 degrees) has been found to have a substantial presence in the dust that resulted from the pulverization of the WTC buildings.

The cover-up: John L. Gross, co-project leader for the National Institute of Standards and Technology investigation of the World Trade Center collapses, resorted to simply denying the existence of molten steel at ground zero.

Readers -- just look at the text and video (http://world911truth.org/us-government-lied-about-molten-steel-found-at-ground-zero-after-911/). This six-minute video unmistakably captures the built-in dishonesty as well as ineptitude of the official inquiry.

The 9/11 lie led directly into another monumental lie on the part of our government, a lie that no one should be able to avoid facing. I speak of the lie that Saddam Hussein was so close to attacking us and/or our allies with weapons of mass destruction that we had no choice but to pre-emptively attack Iraq (with shock and awe).

If there is real interest in exploring 9/11 and its ramifications, let's consider forums beyond my column and letters to the editor that can facilitate rational and respectful dialogue. For example, Hood College could host a symposium on the critical subject of 9/11.
